Once a bill has been approved by a House committee, its staff writes a detailed report that explains the scope and purpose of the legislation. The report also contains a section-by-section analysis that clearly sets out what the bill is intended to accomplish. The report is an important source of legislative history that is consulted by courts and executive departments. Laws new include all ordinances, resolutions, initiatives, regulations, laws, and rules enacted, or adopted by the City.
