Entertaiment is a wide category of activities or art forms aimed at entertaining. Some entertainment is purely for fun, but it can also be intended to cause a positive emotional response or stimulate the brain to realease seratonin and dopamine. Entertainment can range from a personal choice of pre-recorded music to dinner for two, to a performance with thousands of people, or a global competition. The themes of some entertainment are timeless – for example, the story of Scheherazade from the Persian tradition of professional storytelling has inspired a number of orchestral works, films and video games.
